Funny, entertaining and packed full of research and anecdotes, Modern Romance is a must read for anyone interested in learning more about the (heterosexual) dating culture of the 21st century. ⁣

⁣Did you know that, in 2013, 35% of US marriages were the result of people meeting online? Today that number is approximately 40%.⁣

⁣Due to the internet, today’s singles have more options than ever before... so why is it that finding love seems far more complicated now than it was for previous generations? In order to explore this question, comedian Aziz Ansari and his co-author, NYU sociologist Eric Klinenberg, embarked on a round the world research project to interview singles and understand the dating culture in cities like NYC, Tokyo, Paris and Buenos Aires. They also reference historical data, studies and personal experience to draw conclusions about how dating and marriage have changed over the years. ⁣

⁣Although I Initially had a bit of trouble getting into this one, I ended up really enjoying it. ⁣⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5 stars)
