”When there are nine” ⁣

⁣Women currently make up just 24% of Congress and nearly 80% of Congress is white…and this is the most diverse Congress in US history! This is unacceptable. How can we possibly claim our government is "for the people and by the people" when our lawmakers disproportionately represent one race and one gender.

⁣In honor of the great RBG and national voter registration day, today I’m featuring nine books about/by inspiring and diverse women.⁣

⁣The only way to increase the number of women and diversity in our government is to VOTE! Take the time today to confirm you’re registered to vote (click the link in my bio to easily and quickly confirm your voter registration status) and make a plan for voting - will you vote via absentee ballot, during early voting, or on election day? This is arguably the most important election our country has ever faced. The fate of our democracy and the wellbeing of future generations depends on this election. It’s time to vote for hope, not fear.
