If you enjoyed The Nightingale, you should give this one a try.

⁣This historical fiction book alternates between two different characters’ perspectives and two different time periods. We have Charlie in the aftermath of WW2, who seeks out Eve in her search to find her cousin who went missing during the course of the war. As Charlie and Eve’s stories intertwine, we also learn about Eve’s past as a spy with the Alice Network throughout the course of WW1.

⁣One of the things I liked most about this book is that the author included a note at the end explaining which parts and characters were based on actual historical fact and which were purely fiction. Not only was the book entertaining and exciting to read, but I feel like I learned a decent amount about the badass women spies of WW1 who risked their lives to serve the war effort. While the book isn’t quite as good as The Nightingale (which was easily a 5 star read for me), it was definitely worth reading.⁣

⁣ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars ⁣

⁣Have you read this one? If so, I’d love to know what you thought!
