Exploring the Famous Livraria Lello Bookstore

Welcome to Livraria Lello - one of the oldest bookstores in Portugal 🤩.

Built in 1881, this famous bookstore is considered one of the most beautiful and historic bookstores in the world.

Not only is the gothic architecture a sight to behold, but the bookstore has its own unique collection of classics (in a variety of languages). Swipe to see The Great Gatsby in Portuguese.

Since Lello Bookstore (the English translation) has become a sought-after tourist attraction, entrance costs 5 euros. However, if you plan on purchasing a book, I highly recommend buying the priority pass online, which costs 15 euros, allows you to skip the long line and includes a book of your choice from the store’s specially-published line of classics.
