January 2022 Wrap Up

✨JANUARY WRAP UP✨

It’s that time again! Here’s a quick recap of the eight books I read this month…

✨No One is Talking About This: A bizarre yet fascinating look at technology, sickness and the ways in which humans behave amidst a crumbling world that’s entirely obsessed with “the portal” (aka their online personas).

✨The Space Between Worlds: An epic sci-fi adventure story featuring a bi-racial “world walker” whose job is to travel between different worlds in the multiverse and collect data on other Earths.

✨A Marvelous Light: A magic-filled fantasy story that takes place at the turn of the century and stars two unlikely friends who must work together to solve a mysterious curse.

✨State Change: A guide to improving energy, anxiety, nutrition and more from a holistic medicine doctor.

✨The School for Good Mothers: A dystopian novel that examines motherhood, race, and a fictional institution for bad mothers.

✨The Maid: A whodunit murder mystery featuring a quirky hotel maid who becomes the prime suspect in a high-profile murder investigation.

✨Invisible Child: A powerful work of nonfiction by a New York Times journalist that chronicles a Black family’s experience with homelessness and poverty in New York City.

✨Good Morning Monster: A psychology book that features the stories of five heroic patients from the author’s therapy practice.

My favorites this month we’re easily Invisible Child and The Space Between Worlds. Two books that could not be more different, but both equally masterful. Reviews for both coming soon! I also really enjoyed The Maid, which was a fast and thrilling read… check out my page for full review.

As usual, artwork by your truly (using Procreate and Apple Pencil). 😊🤍
