When I started this account, I wanted it to be a place where I could not only share book recommendations, but also, a creative outlet to encourage me to put my design skills to use again. As a graphic designer, it’s been a lot of fun to create images that essentially reimagine the book cover of the books I’ve enjoyed. So while this image is clearly not the book cover for Super Pumped, it’s my attempt at creating a visual representation of the book. Anyway... on to the review 🙃.⁣

⁣I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys thrillers and/or business books. Super Pumped details the rise and fall of Uber’s founder and hotheaded CEO, Travis Kalanick. Told by Mike Isaac, an award winning reporter for the New York Times, the book includes detailed research and hundreds of interviews with past and current Uber employees - all of which help tell the story of Uber’s inception, the toxic company culture, the battles with investors and the dramatic (and sometimes illegal) measures taken by Kalanick and his team of worshipers to ensure Uber’s success.⁣

⁣If you read and enjoyed Bad Blood by John Carreyrou, you will love this one.⁣
