November Wrap Up

✨November Wrap-Up✨⁣

⁣I read so many wonderful books this month! Of the nine books I read, I think it’s safe to say my favorites were Dark Matter, The Midnight Library and Dear America. Full reviews for each of the books pictured are up on my page!⁣

⁣A quick synopsis for the each of my November reads:⁣
⁣✨When No One is Watching: A slow-building thriller with a focus on race relations. Fans of the movie Get Out will love this one.⁣

⁣✨Wordslut: A funny and informative guide to the English language... one that calls out the inherent patriarchal bias in linguistics. Perfect for my feminist friends!⁣

⁣✨The Midnight Library: A fiction book summed up by a single question... if you could go back and make different decisions in your life, would you do it?⁣

⁣✨In Five Years: A quick and sentimental book about love, in all its forms. If you love tear-jerkers about female friendships, this one is for you! ⁣

⁣✨Dear America: Notes of An Undocumented American: a memoir by a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who has lived in America undocumented for 25+ years. This one should be required reading for all Americans!⁣

⁣✨Transcendent Kingdom: The story of a Ghanaian immigrant living in America and grappling with addiction, depression, racism and religion. If you love character-driven novels and/or are interested in the intersection of science and religion, this one is for you⁣.

⁣✨Dark Matter: The perfect novel for my sci-fi and/or thriller lovers! After a physics professor awakens in a new life, he must figure out how to return home to his family.

⁣✨The Girl In the Mirror: A soapy rich-people-behaving-badly thriller about twin sisters and a 100 million dollar fortune on the line. Another perfect book for thriller lovers!⁣

⁣✨Anxious People: A humorous story about a bank robbery gone wrong, featuring a cast of characters all struggling with their own personal problems⁣

⁣What was the best book you read this month??
