⁣As for the book, if you enjoy nonfiction novels and/or adventure stories, Into Thin Air is a must read. It’s a bit of an older book - it was first published in 1997, but I just read it earlier this year.⁣

⁣The book is written by journalist Jon Krakauer, who sets out to climb Mount Everest into order to report on the experience. What he expects to be a rather routine climb, ends up being the deadliest season in Everest’s history. Shortly after reaching the summit of the mountain, a devastating storm rolls in and claims the lives of five of his fellow climbers.

⁣The book was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 1998 - which is not surprising considering I couldn’t put it down. Also, it seems I have a thing for nonfiction novels written by journalists 🧐.⁣
