Happy Sunday, book people! I’m sure many of you have already read All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, so I’m curious to know your thoughts on the book. It was on my TBR for a couple years before I finally read it and I have to say, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations (especially considering it won a Pulitzer Prize). While the writing was beautiful and the storyline was interesting enough, I found it a bit difficult to stay engaged in the plot as the book frequently jumps around in time and between different narrators.⁣
⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣This highly acclaimed historical fiction book takes place during WW2 and follows two coinciding plot lines - a young blind French girl (and her father) who are trying to escape Nazi occupied Paris with a highly valuable jewel that’s believed to have magical powers and a young German boy who is a part of the Hitler youth. Naturally, at the end of the book we see the two storylines collide.⁣⁣
